We have monthly (and annual) recurring billings for services as well. I looked at the Contract Administration module to set them up. However, it is not flexible enough. The contract number is auto-assigned by Great Plains and I need it to be assigned by me, into match the corresponding number in our Data Center's software.
I upload each month to SOP and generate the invoices. Our 'recurring' volume is small each month, approximately 50 invoices.

Subject: Sales Transaction Entry vs Receivables Transaction Entry
Thank you @David Musgrave and @Janice Phelps for the clarification. I don't see the Sales Transaction Entry module in my menu at all so I'm wondering if it's my access? Another issue I think is that we do not track inventory, we sell services. We currently use the Invoicing module to manually create monthly invoices for our clients. These invoices are static and do not change so I'm trying to find a way to setup recurring invoices. The Receivables Management module does not suffice for our needs since it does not have any lines to be recorded. Thus, my thought was to use Sales Transaction Entry to create recurring "Orders" that we could then Transfer to Invoices each month. Thoughts?

Veronica,
David's comments are spot on. However, there is a repeating order functionality that can be used in the Sales Order Entry window, or you can also copy existing orders into new orders. I have also had customers create their 'recurring orders' as Quotes, which will not attempt to allocate inventory, and use the copy feature to create recurring orders from the Quotes.
There isn't a "recurring batch" function for Sales Orders.

Subject: Sales Transaction Entry vs Receivables Transaction Entry
Hello,
I'm new to GP and trying to setup recurring sales orders but for some reason I don't see the Sales Transaction Entry window to select my saved Order IDs. When I go to Sales>Transactions>Transaction Entry, the Receivables Transaction Entry window opens instead. This window does not allow me to select "Order" as the Document Type. What am I missing here? Is there a difference between Sales Transaction Entry vs Receivables Transaction Entry? Any insight would be appreciated! Thank you
