  • 1.  GP Budget Import - last two lines (accounts) are not being imported

    All,

I have just been told that budgets are importing correctly, except for the last two lines.  This is happening across multiple companies.

The financial analysts have added in two accounts that do not have budgets (which are then skipped) to the end of the import doc, then everything imports correctly.

I'm hoping there is a better way.  Has anyone else seen this issue or have thoughts on what it might be or how to resolve?

The Analysts who have reported this issue have been doing this for years, so I don't think it is user error.

    Thanks for your consideration.

    Hi Heidi,

It's been some years that I dealt with Excel Budget import in GP.. but one of the thing I remember which happened from time to time was the end of the Excel table where the numbers are stored had some 'ghost' lines/rows added.. Could you check to make sure that there is nothing weird at the bottom of the last row ?

The other problem was sometimes related to the header, but then it wouldn't import anything. A fix was simply to create an empty template for Excel by using the Budget Export option in GP.. and then feed the data into that template, then re-import it.

Make sure the format of your GL Accounts are set correctly and there are no "blanks" in the GL # strings.
