Hi Scott,
Not sure if it is a common practice, but I've seen it quite often that once the EFT for a new vendor is setup, a 'dummy' transaction of 0.10$ is sent over to test if the ACH paiment goes thru.. usually vendors will reply within 48hrs they have received it.

My company is in the middle of setting up EFT's for payables. Other than a pre-note, does anyone send "test" ACH's to vendors? (ie - send a partial payment for $1 and have vendor confirm receipt)
