My primary duties are in payables.  I am cross-trained to receivables but not my expertise.  I do the Cash Receipts though, as a division of duties thing.  I noticed when applying a customer's payment that they had an outstanding invoice with a 3/17/2022 due date.

This is a customer that pays very timely so I was surprised.  I printed the invoice.  It was dated 9/17/2022 and the Net 30 Days was noted for their terms.

I was explaining to the Accounting Manager for what I saw.  She opened an Excel file that had been save for end of month.  It lists each open invoice.  There were a lot more than the ones had seen.

I thought DUE DATE calculated from INVOICE DATE and Terms.

Have you compared the Terms on the invoice to the system Payment Terms settings  (Administartion>Company>Payment Terms)?  I've seen where a person has changed the actual system Payment Terms thinking they were changing a single client's terms.  Hope that's not what is happening for you.

@Justin Carpenter Thank you for responding.  From your answer:

I don't have that.  This is my view GP2015R2.

    Thomas,
You need to loop in someone with elevated security rights to get to that setting.    System Admin or someone with DYNSA perhaps.

I have the same rights as the GP Administrator.  I am his backup when he is out.

    EDIT:  It is Monday.

    I logged in as sa.

This is what I see for Net 30

    Update:
We have two companies that use the Receivables Module.  I looked at the DropShip Company to see how it was set up.

I think looked at September Smartlists and every invoice had the correct DueDates.  Nothing out of the ordinary.

Is the document date (9/17) or the due date correct (3/17)? I feel like one has to be right and fear you may have someone manually changing things to an incorrect date. If the smart lists match what dates you think are correct, where was the data pulled from on the pdf?

The Invoice Date is correct.  But as viewed from the SmartList the Due Date is incorrectly calculated.  The Due Date from the SmartList is the same as viewed in the Apply Payments window, which is what flagged the problem to me in the first place.

The PDF was a printed from the Excel worksheet from the SmartList download.

I am justified in this case for using the moniker of "Great Pains".

Sorry Thomas....not coming up with any good answers here for you other than incorrect data entry. Is the due date by any chance the date they ordered? If so, maybe some dictionary/table issues?
Best of luck in finding the error and am looking forward to the answer.

Our GP Administrator is running a utility that his searching thinks may fix it.  I will share an update when it is completed.
