Sharon,
Is there a reason you want to deploy Dynamics GP Analysis Cubes? Power BI's backend is a Tabular Analysis cube and that can connect directly to Dynamics GP tables. By introducing Dynamics GP Analysis Cubes, you create another layer of software that can break before the data comes into Power BI for analysis.
I have done several Power BI with Dynamics GP data blog post and shared the SQL scripts that I used. Here is the link to those SQL scripts and Power BI template:

here with a lot of great DAX language references too.

Subject: Dynamics GP Analysis Cubes
Hi all,
I am looking for some reference material related to using PowerBI with GP. Does a reference exist for what data is available via the Dynamics GP Analysis Cubes? I seem capable of finding instructions on how to install the Analysis Cubes, but I cannot find a reference for what data from GP is available once they are installed.
I'm look for a reference to determine if the data that is most valuable to my organization is available through the cubes. We don't monitor our AR or AP the way a for-profit organization would. We care more about our GL and Fixed Assets.
Thanks,
Sharon
