Including Tree Summary in Unit Report

In Management Reporter, a report is designed to print each unit's results based on a tree.

Is it possible to include the summary level at the unit level so you can compare the unit's results to the summary results?

    Description Unit Summary
    Revenue           5,000.00        15,000.00
    COGS           3,500.00        12,000.00
    Gross Margin           1,500.00           3,000.00

    Thank you

    Hey @Charles Allen

In the Row Format you may be able to use one row to pull in the SUMMARY line for these accounts.

Using the Unit Restriction column, choose the tree and point that line to the Summary - never tried this, but it is likely to work.

Let me know if it does work.

    Thank you, Jo.

I think this works if you want the data on separate rows but this report needs the data on the same row.

But, we'll take a look at it.

    Hi Charles,

If you do it in the Column Definition - and put the SUMMARY in the Reporting Unit line. You can do it that way. Also, if you have two NP lines where you get the values that you need, you can put them on the same line in different columns. It depends on the rest of your report.

    Mark,

I believe the suggestion you have will require a separate Column Definition and therefore Report Definition for each unit, and I was attempting to consolidate the number of reports being used by making use of a Reporting Tree Definition. If I misunderstood your suggestion, please let me know. Thanks!

    Jo,

Thanks for the suggestion! I tried referencing the SUMMARY level as well as created a unit on the tree that specifically referenced a range for all units, but it did not pull in the organization total into that row. Instead it pulled in the unit's value in all columns. Did I execute your suggestion correctly?
