1.  Fulfilling Kits

​Is there a setting that will stop you from transferring an order to an invoice if a Kit component is left in back order status?  We are on GP2015.

Not that I know of...we also have this problem.  I'd love to hear from anyone who has a solution to this.

You could setup a TRANSFER process hold and it auto-assigned to the order type used to track your orders (Sales > Setup > Sales Order Processing > Sales Documents > Orders). The exercise would then become removing the hold after allocating and fulfilling the order should there be no quantities on back order.

The alternative is to have someone assign the TRANSFER hold manually on the order when they notice a shortage on any of the kit components.

I personally prefer the first method as the hold is assigned automatically, rather than manually.
