    We are looking for  recommended vendors to help us import fulfilled orders from Amazon Seller Central into Great Plains.  Ideally vendors that use eConnect, Smartconnect or Scribe.

    Gregory,

    The integration between Amazon Seller Central and GP using SmartConnect isn't something we have done as a service for any customers as of yet, but we have looked at it at a very high level just to see if it is possible.  There may be customers that have done it on their own though.

    From what we have looked into with Amazon Seller Central, there are a couple of different options.

    The first would be to request the orders report and then when that is ready, you could use that tab delimited report to import into SmartConnect.

    The second would be to write into their API which isn't as easy to do.  Amazon has a bunch of encryption and such to work around in the API process.  It should be able to be done, it just isn't something that we have done on our own or for a customer as of yet.  If you would want it looked into further, it is something we could setup with our services team to do.

    Another option to explore might be EDI depending on your volume.    Data Masons has helped companies with Amazon Retail, Amazon Warehouse, Amazon Marketplace, Amazon Drop Ship, Amazon International, etc.   www.datamasons.com

    Hi Gregory,

    I worked with a Dynamics GP customer to import Amazon orders into Dynamics GP; however, the customer was implementing a full multi-channel ecommerce strategy, so they also imported orders from WalMart, eBay, Home Depot, Jet.com, and others as part of the integration with Dynamics GP.

    My customer used CommerceHub as the main multi-channel order management platform, and then used a custom workflow solution to monitor the orders and submit them to Dynamics GP.

    I developed the custom ASP.NET Core web API that allowed the workflow system to submit the orders to Dynamics GP via eConnect, import tracking numbers from their warehouses once the orders were shipped, and then allow the workflow to retrieve order status and tracking numbers from GP.

    We use SmartConnect to import our Amazon orders into GP. It isn't pretty, but we have the person that manages the Amazon account download the two reports and ties them to our incoming settlement, and then I have a SmartConnect map that picks them up into GP. The only real hiccup in this process is returns (which don't show on the sales detail report that they retrieve) and gift wrapping (which can be taxable or not, depending on the state). We have the Avalara plug-in, so I think that is why it is more cumbersome. I've poked around on the SellerCentral website, and I think the process would be easier with better reporting from Amazon, since there doesn't seem to be a report that has the customer detail that has the correct cut-off for the payment received.

    We've implemented an API connection with Amazon Seller Central to capture orders from Amazon and integrate them into Dynamics GP using econnect as the preferred method. All orders are created automatically in GP against the same Cust ID.

    The integration doesn't just go one way. You can also control your product feed from k-eCommerce out to Amazon through the same integration. You can designate which products are sold on Amazon and drive the pricing and inventory based on Dynamics GP. Tracking information added to processed orders will also flow back to Amazon to alert the end users of shipping progress.

    Hi Ryan,

    Thanks for the info, that's an interesting offer.

    Does k-eCommerce integrate with other sites, such as eBay, WalMart, Home Depot, Jet.com, etc.?

    Does a GP customer need to have a full eCommerce solution / web site from k-eCommerce to have the two way integration between Dynamics GP and Amazon (or other sites)?  Or do you have a product specifically designed for integration between GP and Amazon, or a multi-channel ecommerce package that will work with customers who do sell through their own web site?
