    Hello everyone! It has been FAR TOO LONG since we've had any community activity.

    I have recently transitioned from being a GP user to being a GP partner/consultant. What's new for all of you?

    Is there any interest in getting together virtually or in-person and having some network meetings again?
    Feel free to reach out to me directly or reply to this thread!

    Hello, @Aleiha Hanson !

    Of course there's interest! My vote would be for in-person. Virtual meetings are too much like being in Plato's Cave:

    "There exist prisoners chained together in a cave. Behind the prisoners is a fire, and between the fire and the prisoners are people carrying puppets or other objects. This casts a shadow on the other side of the wall. The prisoners watch these shadows, believing them to be real.

    "Plato posits that one prisoner could become free. He finally sees the fire and realizes the shadows are fake. This prisoner could escape from the cave and discover there is a whole new world outside that they were previously unaware of." -- Plato's Allegory of the Cave

    So let's get out of the cave and be free!!

    Sincerely,

    @Aleiha Hanson & @Melissa Schmear,

    I agree that Batteries + was always the best place for GPUG meetings.

    I'm happy to help promote it, Aleiha.

    Sincerely,

    Hi @Aleiha Hanson and @Steve Erbach - yes!!! We need to find a way to get together!
    Aleiha - congrats on the new job. We work with Heartland a lot so maybe we'll have a chance to connect. In fact, we're in UAT for an upgrade to 18.4 :)

    I will check with my HR department and see if it's okay that we hold a meeting here - I'll keep you posted.

    I really look forward to seeing everyone again!
