Credit Card Transaction

    Hi!

I am having trouble setting up/using the credit card payment in Payables.

I hope someone can help me.

When I enter a transaction in the Vendor and book the payment by credit card in the transaction, the Invoice seems correct. But, since the distribution type used is CASH for the AP line, I can't reconcile my AP aging with the GL anymore.

Have you ever had this issue? What was your solution?
    Thanks

    Hi @Nancy Pageau

When you pay by credit card, if it is set up right, then the payables move from that vendor to the credit card vendor you set up until the credit card vendor gets paid by check or EFT.

If it is not working like this, please let us know.

    Hi @Jo deRuiter,

It's working. I see the invoice created in AMEX.
Distributions for this invoice and for the payment in the other vendor are empty.
My issue is when I try to balance my subledger with the general ledger, it doesn't balance. Probably because the distribution type.
    I attached the transactions

    Thank you
    Nancy

@Nancy Pageau - having the distribution fall under CASH should not affect the balance in your A/P subledger as all this transaction is essentially doing is moving the payable from your original vendor, to the credit card vendor. The problem that we come across (and we pay with the credit card often this way) is that we can no longer use the Reconcile to GL feature in GP, if this is what you're referring to. Because all of these transactions appear as unmatched so it's hard to sift through the ones that are TRULY unmatched, outside of this process. If that is what you mean, then yes, we experience that.

If you mean that your HATB no longer ties to the GL - there may be another issue, as it should not effect it that way.

    @Tiffany Ziegler, thank you.
The GL balance matches the subledger.
I was referring to the Reconcile to GL feature since we use it very often.
Maybe using a different GL for the payable. ex. 2102-00-00 instead of 2101-00-00. Since we'll do an import to book the invoices, it should work.

Here's the KB on credit card processing in case you haven't reviewed it yet:

Hi @Ryan Galang, thank you, I read it and unfortunately it didn't help.

I have a monthly charge with one vendor, that is paid by our corporate AmEx.  Monthly I enter the invoice to the Vendor.  Several times a year, the vendor sends me the link to pay by credit card.  I post this as a manual payment.  The distribution on the Vendor's payment is:

The distribution the credit card entry is blank:
There has never been any problems with our sub-ledger being out of balance.
