Will a Kronos timekeeping product fully interface with GP without double entry or using integration manager to import files? I have a retirement home client that is being urged to purchase a Kronos product instead of upgrading their Untiime time & attendance biometric system that fully interfaces with GP. Are you a GP user that uses a Kronos product that fully interfaces with GP or are you a partner that have clients using Kronos? What product does fully interface with GP? My client does not want to incur any double entry of employees nor rely on having to export a file from Kronos that we have to write an integration from integration manager to import hours for payroll processing.
Thank you for taking a few minutes to answer my questions.
We've been using Kronos Workforce Central for ten years with a GP Partner front office product, 1st Staff Back Office (formerly Personnel Agency Management, or PAM) from Professional Advantage. We have a custom interface that exports the Kronos time into a CSV file which is then imported into 1Staff via their built-in Timesheet Data Import. From that point on it is treated natively: the 1Staff Timesheet Entry is used to build the GP timesheet batch.
Works very well and I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have.
We have been using Kronos and GP for over 5 years including working with nursing homes (which we no longer have). We have a Kronos feed into GP employee updates (new, xfers, etc.) and a punch feed back from Kronos for GP Payroll. Has worked out nice for us over the years. For scheduling though we really used OnShift scheduling software and it dovetailed nicely with GP and Kronos.
We use Kronos for our Time and Attn. We have no problem with the Integration Manager. So basically you build it once in GP and then you can add items in Kronos Table files to get new Pay Codes etc into GP. So far we have never had to rebuild the GP Side. We do copy it for New Company with in. GP just brings a CVS file into GP as a Batch and you build it and go on.
using both Kronos and GP , I've found a few tricks.
one is that you can either write reports from within Kronos or outside using ssrs or other programs to access the correct tables. Kronos support can help you ID the right tables
Kronos has 2 pieces , timekeeper and HR/Payroll .. I assume your looking at the timekeeper side and using the payroll package on GP?
In kronos their is a tab called Data integration. in that you can select interfaces. Using that you can create an interface that generates your needed GP import report and saves it on a preset schedule and location .
Then using the smart connect or other import program you then set up a pull the file into GP and do clean up afterwards .
If you really want to , you can set up smart connect to access KRONOS using a SQL query and pull it directly into GP.
