5 GPUG Summit Sneak Peeks in Green Bay!

Join us next Wednesday, September 8th, for a little slice of GPUG Summit coming to the GPUG Green Bay (Titletown, USA!) Chapter meeting at Lakeland University. Meeting starts at 8:45, and you still have time to register!

Our theme this month is: GPUG Summit Presentation Sneak Peeks. Our FIVE presenters will show you the sessions they'll give at the User Group Summit North America from October 15-18 in Orlando, Florida. All of them will be eager to get your reactions. This is like a dress rehearsal for them!

Four of the educational presentations will be split into two tracks: Accounting and Admin. The fifth is a Partner Showcase by one of the nine GPUG annual sponsors, AvidXchange. The lunch we're serving to you at 12:30 next Wednesday is made possible by the involvement of the GPUG national sponsors. When you register, please treat it like an RSVP for a wedding. That is, we need to let the caterer know how much food to prepare. (Please let us know if you can't make it so we don't order too much!)

The meeting gets underway at 8:45 on September 18th at Lakeland University (directions on the registration page). After introductions and GPUG news, our itinerary shapes up like this:

9:15-10:15 5 Critical Questions Dynamics GP Users Should Ask Before Automating Their AP by @Jennifer Andreas of AvidXchange, a National GPUG Sponsor. These are the five questions that Jennifer will answer in her presentation:

    * Is AP automation a good fit for my company?
    * Will automation change the AP process we currently have in place?
    * How will AP automation work with my accounting system?
    * How does AP automation impact our bottom line?
    * What does the implementation process look like for AP automation?
    10:15-10:25 We'll take a quick break
    10:25-11:25 1st Educational session:
    • Track 1: Admin  SQL 101 for GP Admins by @John Kirsch of Wipfli, Green Bay. From John's Summit presentation description:

For GP admins, there is often a need for some basic SQL skills and knowledge. You may not have an IT background, but with some light training you can find the details on how to navigate SQL Server Management Studio and perform some valuable SQL tasks.

    • Track 2: Accounting  The Little Known Modules in GP: Safe Pay, eReconcile, Interfund Management, Revenue and Expense Deferrals, a remote presentation by @Jo deRuiter of Aisling Dynamics. From Jo's session description:

There is a ton of functionality Microsoft now includes in licensing for GP, many existing users and some who've used it a while don't even know they are there! Let's look at how to improve your work life and review these lesser known, but awesome features!
    11:25-11:35 Networking break
    11:35-12:35 Second educational session:
    • Track 1: Admin  GP Admin Dashboard On a Dime II: The Second Part! by Steve Erbach of GLC Minerals, Green Bay. Steve's presentation will show you how to:

      • Assemble and Deploy participant's own copy of the GP Admin Dashboard and GP License Analytics right after returning to work.
      • Dramatize and Visualize for the C-Level honchos how often and for how long you run out of available GP licenses
      • Survey and Control participant's GP Admin domain with the confidence gained from the knowledge that your GP Admin Dashboard is keeping track of things for you!

    • Track 2: Accounting  Sales Order Processing (SOP) It Can Do THAT?! by Carol Kossoris of Heartland Business Systems, Pewaukee. From Carol's Summit presentation description:

Are you using all the features Sales Order Processing has to offer? This session will cover some of the "not so obvious" features in the SOP module such as Process Holds, Drop Shipping, SOP-POP linking, Allocation/Fulfillment settings, shortage options, SOP-MOP linking, Extended Pricing, User Defined fields, etc.
12:35-1:00 Lunch and Round Tables with Subject Matter Experts!

So there you have it! FIVE good reasons to come to the September 18th GPUG Chapter meeting at Lakeland University. Directions to Lakeland can be found on the meeting registration page. That's where you can register. We need to have you register so that we know how much food to serve for lunch!

Come join the throng and have lunch with us on Wednesday, September 18th!
