ODATA Issue

I've been banging my head on this for a few days now and I'm struggling to understand the disconnect
I've installed the GP Odata service for 2016 and also installed the hotfix. I've walked through the Odata setup in GP
    -  configure
    - Data sources
    - Publish Data
    under the admin setup

I've given permissions to the service account using Odata and made sure the AD account im using is assigned to a user in GP that has the ODATA security roles

The issue I'm running into now is whenever I try to navigate to the published odata feed to test it, I get an HTTP Error 404 - Not Found Message (attached)

I've also tried changing the port from 443 to 448 just in case. Does anyone have an idea what the issue might be on this?

    Hi @Pete Adams

Other collaborators here on GPUG as well as myself have found that there were far too many flaws in GP2016's version of Odata - many of these were resolved in the latest version of 2018R2.

I'll tag in @Shawn Dorward as he, in my humble, is one of the leading users (read understanders) of Odata with GP.

Here is an article from the folks at Njevity regarding the issues and I agree with it.

Prior to the release of GP2016, I was super excited about the new OData feature. I was so looking forward to a live method of sharing data in SQL Server (from Microsoft Dynamics GP) to Microsoft Power BI and Excel, regardless of whether the data is on Premise or in the Cloud.

If you can't upgrade to the latest GP version there may be some workarounds to deploying the GP views you would like, but Odata in your version is super buggy.

    Best of luck!!

OK, looks like that was the issue, at least that I can tell. Odata works as expected when using GP 2018. Thank you so much!
