I'm not sure your Amazon volumes but we did an ATT account that ran 10,000 to 16,000 SOP Invoices from master SOP Orders per day w 4-10 line items each and auto posted them. A five year project with ATT.
Our experience was that the core GP mass transfer was too slow - by hours - and so we did a custom eConnect job with SQL to create the Invoices and SOP Batch(s).
This ran fast. Maybe 25-45 minutes max and was scheduled run daily before night backups but after normal work.
When the night backups finished, we scheduled the posting of the SOP Invoices with Postmaster Envisage. This application was installed and ran on a Dynamics GP DPS server which is a high uptime server/client on the fiber switch with the SQL server. We did not install or post these SOP Invoice Batches from the Citrix Servers used by users.
We learned that the Postmaster will post at a rate of about one SOP Invoice per second or 3,600+- per hour. Our normal daily batch would post in four hours! If for some reason the posting was missed and the batch grew to much more that 12,000 invoices like 35,000 invoices it could not be posted so we modified our SOP Invoice creation job to limit the batch size to 10,000 Invoices. At 10,000 Invoices a new batch would be created and so on and then the batches auto posted at nights on weekends.
One important thing to know is that Dynamics GP SOP Posting is a single threaded SQL job. When a batch is busy SQL posting by one user say Postmaster, no other user will be able to post a SOP batch until it completes. In fact their GP session will hang when the click post and wait. So do not auto post your large SOP batches during the day as it will interfere with users who try to post a 10 transaction batch. Sending all SOP Posting to a DPS Server will not resolve as the single threading occurs at the SQL level.
Overall our experience with Postmaster was good as long as we only scheduled at night and limited batch sizes to10,000 Invoices which would generally post in under 4 hours.
Cash application of weekly payments to 50,000 invoices was another exercise.
Good luck

Hi Windi,
Thanks for the response.
We have a process that runs after our California location is done shipping that updates the order batches with shipped batch ID's depending on the type of order. We have an Amazon batch that I need to transfer to invoice and post after hours without any interaction from a user.
I will look into Willoware. We have talked to them about other projects in the past.

Hi @Kevin Carnahan
I agree with Jo in that GP has easy options for mass transferring orders to invoices. If what GP does what you need in the Transfer Multiple Orders then Blue Moon products are great and there is PostMaster by Envisage.

If that window in GP doesn't allow the restrictions that you need you need, check out https://willoware.com/gp-powerpack-mass-batch-change. It let's you set detailed criteria on how you want to transfer.
Good luck,
Windi

We are looking for an ISV with a product that will transfer orders to invoice and auto post the invoices. I have found two ISV's, Alba Spectrum and Blue Moon. Does anyone have any experience with these vendors or do you know of any other vendors that have this type of product? Any input would be great.
Thanks
