Required Form Field In Red

    I am trying to make some fields in the employee maintenance window as required and in red.

    I went to Tools > Customize > Modify Current Window. I made the fields that I need required but they did not turn Red.

    Can someone assist us with this?

    @Jesus Lopez

    I checked the source code and the save record script does check the required() function so making additional fields required will work. Some windows don't use the required() function like they should and so need additional scripting to check required fields. So that bit is all good.

    I also checked the window fields and they are correctly linked to the prompts which is how a required field knows which prompt to highlight. So all good there.

    Then I noticed the problem.  The screenshot you provided does not a fullstop/period/dot before the name of the window, meaning it is still the original version of the window and not your modified window.

    To change the window used, update the Alternate Modified Forms and Report ID used by the users to point to the Modified window rather than the Original window.

    Let us know how you go.

    Regards

    David

    Good morning,

    There is a setting under user preferences that you can set up the some font colors.

    I hope this helps what you are trying to do.
    Cheers,
    Maureen
