Hello Mary Kay,
This is because with the release of 2015 R2, Microsoft reversed the order that debits and credit are displayed.
Before credits were displayed first, but this the that release, debits were made to display first.
I have seen a couple of issues where the headers did not switch, but the columns did, so that the debits are labeled as credits and the reverse is true of credits. Other than this one issue, the value and SmartLists are accurate, just mislabeled, but that can be fixed.
The easiest way to correct this is is to click on the 'Columns' button at the top of SmartList and edit the names, as shown here. Just be sure to re-save any Favorites you may have created.

Subject: Smartlist Debits and Credits
Has anyone experienced the situation where their smartlists are displaying debits under the originating credit column and credits under the originating debit column. If you did what caused it and how did you resolve it.
Thanks for your help
