Matching Purchased Inventory Quantities to Sales

    Hi Everybody,

We want to build a report that will show us finished goods received into inventory and then show when they were "sold" - -
The objective is to see how long inventory is staying on the shelf .. and also whether we run out of some items sooner than planned.

I'm using the IV10200 table, to pull all my receipts.
I'm not sure the best table to see sales against the specific receipts.

    Has anybody done something similar?
I've dug around and looked at various IV and SOP history tables but not sure how to query the data.
I'm able to match up sales quantities (to see movement) but have not been able to match up to the specific receipt, although I know the data is there.

Or, if there is an existing report that might help, I am very open to suggestions.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

    Good Morning @Maria Frandzeskakis,

I have often used the script below to achieve what you're asking about.  It is not limited to just sales though.  It identifies what the consumption point was regardless of origin (i.e. inventory adjustments, assemblies, returns, etc.)

You may need to tweak it to meet your needs, but it is a good starting point.

    Best,

    Samantha
