    Hello Everybody,

Our current procedure when issuing a credit note to the customer for goods not being returned to inventory, is to affect a virtual inventory site (ex: LOST) that we don't track.
We do not use the different quantity types (damaged, etc). Typically, everything stays "on hand" and somebody looks into any quantities that show up in non tracked sites and decides the action to take (write-off / follow-up / etc ..)

We're wondering if there is another recommended process?

    Thanks for any suggestions.

We are on GP2015 R2, and this is from the SOP module.

We post all returns to site/store 28, we have set this up as a customer in GP and the name is Return.  We also have a site/store 29, which is for DEAD/damaged /unuseable inventory.  We can see under each of these where the items came from when the credit is posted.  FYI our normal site/store Warehouse is 10.

Even though we don't have separate warehouses we have assigned a 2 digit number to each area of our warehouse, to use for posting and tracking item movement.  It really works pretty well.
