  • 1.  New Feature - Import Payables Invoice

    Posted Dec 02, 2020 06:14 AM
I am trying to import a credit card statement using the new feature Import Payables Invoices.  I have completed the setups and downloaded the .qbo file.  When I try to import, I get 'Select a Valid File Format'.  I also tried .qfx format and got the same error.   Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks

Aren't those QuickBook formats?  Great Plains generally uses a text file for integration.  I could be wrong though.

There is a new feature with 2018 (October 2020 release) that allows importing of credit card statements using the quickbooks format.   I've have not tried testing it.

Yes, but that document does not, or did not, show all the required fields necessary for importing cc transactions.  They said they are going to add that to the documentation.

Those instructions do not yet have all the required fields listed.  REFNUM is not shown in the document and that was the required field I was missing.  I had to add it to my file manually.   They are going to update the instructions.  Thanks

Good info. It would be nice if there was complete documentation.

    Hey Leslie,
Was the REFNUM the only required field that was missing?
If not, can you please list all of the fields that are required for this? A year later and Microsoft still has not provided documentation...
    Thanks!
