Printing a list of Smartlist reports #admin

We are in the process of cleaning up our smartlist reports.  Is there a way to print a list of the smartlists and maybe the last date used?
Any tips for cleaning these up would be great!

    Hi @Lisa Overlin

The table ASIEXP81 holds all the information about your SmartLists.  It's an extensive table that also holds onto the parameters of the favorited SmartLists, but for just a listing of them run this:

    SELECT [CMPANYID]
    ,[USRCLASS]
    ,[USERID]
    ,[ASI_Favorite_Name]

    FROM [DYNAMICS].[dbo].[ASIEXP81]

    Hi Lisa,

Just adding to what @Jo deRuiter said... linking some more tables...
    ...still, no "last date used"...
    -----

    use DYNAMICS
    select isnull(TRANSVAL, '') SmartList, ASI_Favorite_Name Favorite,
Module = case when asi_favorite_dict_id = 3830 then 'SLB' else 'GP' end,
       a.CMPANYID, isnull(CMPNYNAM,'') CompanyName, USRCLASS, USERID
          from [ASIEXP81] a
          left join [ASITAB30] b on a.[ASI_Favorite_Name] =b.UNTRSVAL
          left join [SY01500] c on a.cmpanyid = c.cmpanyid

SmartList unfortunately does not store anything about the last time a list was run.

I believe you have SmartList Builder.  If so we have a template that will give you list of all of your SmartList Favorites and their save level.  Here is more information on the template:  https://www.eonesolutions.com/help-article/smartlist-favorites-smartlist-builder-template/.

You can import the template by going to Microsoft Dynamics GP - Tools - SmartList Builder - Import.  From there, select the Import from Web.  You will find the list under the product of Microsoft Dynamics GP and the Series of System.  If you are on an older version of SmartList Builder and don't have the import from web option, you can download it from here under the System series:  https://www.eonesolutions.com/smartlist-builder/downloads/#templates

Hi @Nicole Albertson  and  @Lisa Overlin,

We too would love to have the feature of "last used".  Opening SmartList for us has grown to 34 seconds.  We believe that several SmartLists created are no longer used, but without the "last used" date, it is more of a guess.  The fewer the SmartLists, the quicker the opening.

A co-worker created a trigger to record every time a SmartList is "touched" and that has helped some.  But, when a Reminder is created, all SmartLists are touched so we are working on ways to filter out the "mass touches".

@Nicole Albertson - please add @Lisa Overlin need to a future enhancement list.

I unfortunately cannot change SmartList to track this.  That would have to be requested from Microsoft.  I will enter a product suggestion for SmartView to do it and for SmartList Builder as something we can maybe add on if a customer is using SmartList and has SmartList Builder.  Just cannot do anything for those with just SmartList.
