@Aleiha Hanson The Dexterity training really works best in a classroom. The problem is that I need to be able to see the screens of students and every project builds on the previous one. Unlike training for a functional area of GP, if you miss a section you cannot come back to it later, you basically cannot continue.
I understand that expense and time, but as I live in Australia it makes sense to run the training when I am in the USA for the conference. If you ask any of my previous attendees, they will tell it is worth it. I have had people attend more than once and get even more out of it the second time. I have also had experienced developers attend and say that they learnt heaps.
Let me know if that helps.
Regards
David

@David Musgrave do you ever do webinars/Academy classes on dex throughout the year? My team is interested in learning more but budget gets tight with sending staff to Summit for 5 days plus an extra 5 days prior.

Thanks for the reference @Steve Erbach, when will you do one of my Dexterity training courses?
@Jon Godwin It is very likely that I will be running some sort of training during the week prior to the Orlando User Summit conference. The exact course as not been decided yet, but depends on demand.
So if you would like a Dexterity Fundamentals course again please let @Angie Edenborg know.

David

Wow. Thanks, Steve. That's great and gives me time to beg and plead the powers that be to pay for it. :)

@Jon Godwin,
I see that you haven't been to GPUG Summit yet. If you can wait until mid-October, @David Musgrave offers a week-long Dexterity training course before Summit begins. At least he's done so for the past couple Summits at least. When David sees this message he'll maybe give us an indication whether he'll be offering the course again. He comes from Perth, Western Australia to teach it!

I'm fairly new to GP and being an administrator for it, but it appears it would pay off to learn Dexterity to further my career. I've looked for training programs and even just manuals on Amazon but have had no luck finding anything that seems like it will be useful toward learning this skill. Does anyone have some good resources to learn Dexterity or know of anyone that offers courses in it? Thanks for the help.
