Greetings All,

It's my understanding that the personal exemption has been discontinued in 2021.  If so, I wonder why it shows up as $4,300 on some of the GP tax tables after the 2021 update.

If an employee has not filled out a new W4, they could still have those listed.
Here is my W4 blog from last year that explains some of this and how our tax tables work in the system.

This did not change for 2021.

On the 2020 W-4 there are no Exemptions, but if you read the instructions from the 15-T it does state built into the tables based on the filing status you are allowed exemptions, but they enforce what the exemption will be.

This did not change for 2021.
