Hello, I have a couple of assist needs:

    1. Is there a report in GP that gives YTD 1099 information as in:  Vendor name and ytd amount?  Please don't say Smartlist....that is the most convoluted tool GP has.
    2.  Is there a way to keep up with amounts of Use Tax payable?  Is it done on the payable trans entry screen?  Also, what report can be run at month end to come up with these trans?

    Thank you!!

Tools>Routines>Purchasing>Print 1099.   Select the print button versus the print forms button in order to print the 1099 Edit list.

    Thank you
    Doug

    Hi Ronda,

See if you can make use of the Company Tax Reports (Reports >> Company >> Taxes).
    • Tax Details
    • Tax Period Reports
    • Tax Schedules
    • Tax Transaction Reports

Below is a sample of the Tax Transaction Reports... the data below shows the Tax_1 tax detail that was used to process 5 invoices of 2 different vendors (Vendor Tax 1 and Vendor Tax 2).

    The Ranges available are:
    • Tax Detail ID (the one used in the example)
    • Tax Detail Type
    • Tax Detail Description
    • Customer ID
    • Vendor ID
    • Document Date
    • Posting Date

    Hi Ronda,

Regarding the 1099 report, aside from SmartList, there's the (1) Purchasing Analysis Report - Period and (2) Purchasing Analysis Report - Summary reports.

For the (1) Purchasing Analysis Report - Period:
    • The report output can be further controlled by the Ranges (Year and Period restrictions can be put in place)
    • As per testing, this does not seem to be dependent on the Amounts Since Last Close values
      • note: 1st payment done on 4/12/2027, while 2nd payment done on 4/12/2026

For the (2) Purchasing Analysis Report - Summary:
    • This defaults to the Amounts Since Last View values... i.e. the Payables year end close should be done on time otherwise, the amounts will be incorrect
    • The 1099 values are not available by default and need to be added via Report Writer

    Thanks Doug!

Thanks Gerald, however, this does not give me just 1099 transactions per vendor, if I'm looking at this correctly.

The tax report looks great, but still needing to know how those figures got there.  Is it through a/p entry and select a tax schedule whereas setting one up to calculate use tax?  I will play with this and see how it turns out.
