Inventory Posting Status

  • 1.  Inventory Posting Status

    Posted 15 days ago
I had an old batch surface for an Inventory Transfer that was Marked for posting.  We freed up the batch and it was determined that it should be deleted as it contained no data.
When I look in the IV10000 table I still see the batch with a PSTGSTUS (Posting Status) of 35.  Does anyone know what a status of 35 means?  There is no related data in the IV10001.
My plan would be to remove it from IV10000.

Thanks in advance for any response!

I would have done it slightly different. I would have update the batch status to 0 and the posting status to 0 on the transaction, then use the user interface to delete.

Since you are where you are, note the document number column value (IVDOCNBR) and go ahead and remove the record from the IV10000 table. Just verify you do not have any entries for that document number in the Inventory Transaction History (IV30200), Inventory Transaction Amounts History (IV30300), and Inventory Distribution History (IV30500) tables. Typically, when I've seen transactions hung up like that, part of the transaction makes it to history and the other part stays in work.

I would normally ask that you run a quantities reconcile (Inventory > Utilities > Reconcile) just to make sure everything looks ok, but this would probably require you to backup your entire environment and run off hours.

    Hi @Mariano Gomez Bent ,

Thanks for the information.  Just to clarify, I did update SY00500 setting  MKDTOPST=0, BCHSTTUS=0.  I then used the GP batch window to delete the batch.  I'll check the other tables before removing from the IV10000.
