Sales Forecasting by Item Number - GP 2016

    Hello,

We're looking for Sales Forecasting abilities that work alongside GP 2016.

We are not having success with any "Budgeting" tools out there. We recently tried Prospero and like Bi360, it's not what we need. Please the development costs are way above our budget. We don't need to budget or forecast by GL Segments. We need to forecast by item number.

We also use Extender heavily so it would be nice to find a forecast tool that could incorporate extended data fields.

We currently use the Sales Forecast Integration tool: MFG PowerPack by WillowWare. It's very solid.

The main issue is creating a rolling sales forecast for thousands of items. A lot of the items are purchased finished goods, which are easier to forecast. However, we have a lot variations of our products that require mix breakdowns: color, width, base, etc.

Any tips for a good supporting sales forecast tool would be great! Especially one that could spit out forecasted numbers we could then easily import back into GP.

    Thanks!

    Mark,

Does anyone at your company know Power BI or Excel's Power Query and Power Pivot functionality?  If so, then just build it within either of those products for free!!! There are tons of Power BI blogs on Sales product demand forecasting to get you started.  Here are some links those links:
