    Hello -

    We're in the market for an document management / AP automation solution. We've sifted through all the options out there, and heard a lot about Papersave from a few other GP users. Haven't seen too much in the community recently about how it fairs (compared to others Kwiktag, Metaviewer, others). Curious what recent users have thought about - pros and cons?

    It highly depends on exactly what you need a solution to do, but I, as a re-seller and as someone who routinely has to troubleshoot issues with these products) much prefer the MetaViewer solution.  This is because they 'own' and 'developed' their own OCR technology so you end up getting faster and better service.  They are also crazy quick to respond to issues, which is vitally important.  Also, their solution is a bit more configurable.  That said, they are also the 'cadillac' which means they are expensive and you get tons of bells and whistles, but you have to evaluate whether you need that sort of functionality or if a Cadillac is just too much car for your needs :D.

    Kwiktag has amazing features and they, too are easily configurable and responsive and have multiple options for what you need in AP software.

    Additionally, there are several other AP solutions on the market including ones that now manage the payment of the invoice for you and then send you a file to just integrate into GP and post....these types must be planned out for what you need in GP for reports, but they do include workflows and document management and as I always tell my clients, you don't need information in every system if you have the right reporting tools.

    My clients are trending now towards more modern solutions such as a cloud AP solution and then integrate those to GP for payment OR the full AP solution where the solution vendor manages the approvals AND sends the payments.  These have become much more affordable.

    So, to get more answers here it would be helpful to know from you exactly what you need the AP solution to take care of.​

    @Aaron Johnson  - fortunately for you, there are alot of options.  Unfortunately for you, there are alot of options.    The Doc Management realm is a very mature market at this point, and virtually any of the products will do what you need.   One thing to look for is how easily the system can be expanded throughout your organization.  You don't want to pigeon hole yourself into something that will work "best" for AP but maybe not so well if you want to now expand to capture HR documents as well.  As a VAR we always ask the client to review 3 or 4 options and then let them choose the look and feel that they are most comfortable with as that is typically what it comes down to in the end.  ​​

    We implemented CoreIntegrator about 5 years ago and are extremely happy with the product.  it is highly configurable and easy to use which is important since it is used by all levels of employees.  We not only use it for ap invoice approval but for new vendor requests, new gl account #s, and a few other workflows.  I love that it is tightly integrated with GP.  I implemented this system at a previous company and recommended to my current employer after having no success with a different document mgt solution.  ​You should definitely check it out!
