Purchase order lines - add from an Excel spreadsheet

    Hi,

Is there a way to upload an excel spreadsheet to a purchase order in GP? I have purchase orders with up to 100 lines and do not want to add each line manually. Is there an integration for this or some other way to add it?

    Hello Cassandra,

Since you cannot copy and paste directly into the Purchase Order Entry window like you can in the GL Transaction Entry window you'll want to look at a tool like Integration Manager to import these transactions into Dynamics GP.

There's a lot of information out there on IM, but here's a link to the Users Guide which is a good place to start:

Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 Guide: Integration Manager User's Guide

Microsoft Dynamics GP 2013 Guide: Integration Manager User's Guide
This document describes how to install Integration Manager and explains how to create and run integrations.

You can install IM from your Dynamics GP installation media.  It does require registration keys, so you'll need to look into whether or not you already have those.  I believe that you can use it for a period of time without the keys in order to try it out before buying keys though.

The Purchase Order destination is only available using the eConnect adapter, so you'll need to have that installed as a pre-requisite.  You can use the existing POP Transaction sample integration as a template for creating your own to pull from your Excel file.

If you owe SmartConnect you create a upload excel file to import that data as well.
