Ship to address

  • 1.  Ship to address

I updated a ship to address ID in the Company Addresses Setup screen. What I'm trying to do is when creating a PO the item we are purchasing should be going to another company directly instead of our main location. Is there a way for me to attach this new ship to address ID to just that vendor? Did I go about setting that up correctly or is there a different way I should be doing this? Thanks!

@Amber Schmoll if I'm understanding this right, yes there is a way to use the new address.
However, I'm not sure of a permanent place to set this.

On your PO, if you expand to the line detail, there is a field for the "ship to". Here you can select/enter the new company ship to ID.
It is also a field in the header by clicking the blue arrow next to your vendor ID and selecting the proper ship to ID here.

    Hope this helps!

@Aleiha Hanson's answer is perfect.  This other location may also be set up as a "Site" in inventory and you can short cut where to ship the items to using this Site Location.

Also, keep in mind that changing the Ship To at the Header level AFTER you've created your lines won't update the lines - you have to update them manually.

Using the drop ship PO will use the customers ship to address.  Aleiha's answer is perfect if it isn't.
