    Hi Larry,

We use Concur just for expense reports. Overall I like it for that. It is easy for our employees and they like that they have visibility into the status of their expense report approval and payment. The implementation was not too painful for expense reports, we have done a slow implementation over the last 6 to 9 months. The app is awesome and new features are always being added. The OCR technology is great (although only available with pictures in the app). We process the actual payments via ACH through GP. We use integration manager (IM) to upload the data out of Concur into GP. There are better options than IM. Some of the negatives -
    • Not integrated - at least our version it is not integrated - so we uploaded a list of our cost centers and a list of our GL codes and a user can code to any combination of those 2 - whether or not that actually exists. Then when A/P goes to upload there are issues because there are accounts coded to that don't exist. We export all of the data to Excel and import using IM. Also, new cost centers and GL codes have to be added to Concur.
    • EVERYTHING is costs extra, they are sales heavy, customer service is less of a concern (although it is available) - which is fine, but there have been instances - when we initially implemented it was implied that the GPS mileage tracking was something we would have - but actually that costs extra. I had a question about a "special" approval process for one of our subsidiaries and they kind of gave me the run around before telling me that would cost extra, I am fine with things costing extra but I don't love wasting time before they finally tell me it is extra cost.
Despite the negatives, I'd consider it mostly because we are already using the expense tool. Interested to hear the perspective of current users of Concur for invoices.
