Prepayment setup in Purchase Orders

    Good evening!!

    I am running GP 2013 SP1 when I go to the purchase order setup and the Prepayment setup option is grayed out. I read that if you have Project Accounting or MDA activated you can not use the feature - is there a reasoning as to why? We really want to use it but we have both in our environment. Is it possible to bypass it or somehow activate it even if it is spooky magic?? lol

    Hi @Angela Harris,
    I do recall hearing that this was an issue when POP Prepayments was first announced (GP2013 I do believe).

    I had asked the question to the community a few years later if it were STILL an issue with later versions and it was confirmed that it was indeed NOT.  We're also now on GP 2018 & have no issues w/ both PA & POP Prepayments in the same environment.

    A few things come to mind on your issue.
    - Upgrade.. (easier said than done I know!).
    - Use Microsoft Dynamics GP>>Tools>>Customize>>Customization Status to 'Deactivate' project accounting (temporarily) & try it again
    - If the deactivating works, create a separate .SET file that DOES NOT include project accounting and have those who need to enter POP prepayments use that version.
