Adjusting inventory

    Good evening:

    I am trying to enter/adjust inventory count using the Great Plains inventory module.  I went to Transactions-Inventory-Stock Count Entry.  I opened my stock count previously created, and I entered the quantity on hand and the quantity counted during physical inventory this quarter.  Then I clicked "Process".

    I do not get an adjustment report , or a batch to post the adjustments.  I did not have the box checked to "auto post" on the stock entry, so it's my understanding that a batch should be created.

    The report I receive says the items have not been verified to be counted.

    Can anyone help guide me as to what I'm doing incorrectly?  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    I've seen this when the box is not checked for zero quantities entered.

    Hi Kristin:

     

    I spoke with our GP rep and we determined that was the issue.  I had checkmarks next to the items on which there was a count, but I needed a checkmark next to ALL items.
