PA Missing Preriods

We are running our timesheet integration to pull in time and benefits for ADP.  We are getting an error that we cannot insert a duplicate primary key for PA01121 PA Contract Periodic Totals MSTR & PA01221 PA Project Periodic Totals MSTR.  When I look at those 2 tables for thos specific contracts and projects they only have Period 0 & 12.

I read an article that explained to run the Recreate Periodic utility but that is not really an options because it literally takes days to run (in test).  How else can I create these periodics?

    #ProjectAccounting

    Thanks,
    Kendel

    Hi Kendel,

I do not know of a way to run the Recreate Periodic outside of GP but I am very familiar with this issue and the utility did not work for us regardless.  The only way I was able to resolve was to create a job and run the attached script each day or more.  You will notice my script covers additional periodic tables but the concept is the same.

Use at your own risk but I have been using for well over a year now and no longer have any issues.  We import thousands of timesheets each week from Kronos using eConnect.

Hello Kendel, I have deleted these type of records from the PA01121 table in the past in order to get my transaction posted. Then you can always run the recreate periodic over a long weekend. My company doesn't report off this table, so it's no big deal for us to delete it today and recreate it when it's convenient.
    Hope that helps.  Russ
