AP Integration Field Error

    Hi All,

I'm getting an error on an integration upload that I can't resolve - hoping you can help. I have set up a new integration to create vendors from a text source. The source is set up to provide basic info including vendor ID, vendor name, etc. I had the integration working and set up a couple of new vendors successfully. Now when I try to run the integration I get this error:

DOC 1 ERROR: Name is a required field: vendor -----

I get that error on each vendor I'm trying to upload. I confirmed my source has the vendor name column. And I confirmed the destination mapping puts the vendor name from the source doc to the Name field on the vendor. And I confirmed that data is in the Vendor Name column on my source doc itself.

    What am I missing?

So after some trial and error I figured it out. I had turned our vendor approval workflow back on after finishing the set up on the integration. Once I turned off the vendor approval workflow, the integration worked just fine again.

Apparently the integration and workflow don't work well together? If anyone knows how to get around this please let me know. We need to be able to use both functions together.

    Thanks!

    Erin,

What product/tool are you using for the integration?  Integration Manager?

There are two modes that Integration Manager can run in.  One mode is to take over the user's GP interface when the integration is running.  The other mode is to use eConnect (write directly to the database without the user's interface).  I would try the eConnect mode if you're not.  it may bypass the workflow or give you an option for bypassing it.

We don't use Integration Manager here.  Maybe someone else can jump in with screenshots or steps to determine which mode you're integration is setup for.

    I hope this helps.

Thanks Chris! I didn't realize there were 2 modes, so we'll give it a shot and see if it helps.
