Workflow - Vendor Approval

    I am relatively new to Workflow.  I have a client that only wants to use the Vendor Approval so they can monitor any and all changes to the vendor.  Setup of Workflow pretty simple but client does not want to be bothered by emails.  They only want to know a change was made and approve.  I have a test environment but the only way I can get WF working is to assign users via email.

    Can I have WorkFlow setup and only used with GP users?

    Hello Gary,

    Other than emails, there really isn't any other way that we have in Workflow to notify someone that a new vendor, or a change to a vendor, has been done and thus that vendor has been submitted, or needs to be submitted through Workflow for approval.

    You can use emails to notify the specified approver(s) that a vendor has been submitted for approval and is assigned to them, as well as notifying the originator (user that submitted the vendor for approval) that the workflow has been submitted, approved, rejected, and/or final approved (completed). Other users can be CC'd on these 'originator' emails as well.

    Emails can be turned off and the user can be provided a smartlist, or use the navigation lists... OR be notified on their home screen.

    You still need to assign the user through Active Directory.

    Hi Shawn,

    I am trying to activate workflow for our AP Team. Is it mandatory to enable e-mail for workflow? Or can the workflow function without the emails as you mentioned earlier from the To-Do list on GP Homepage?
