    ​​Can someone explain to me how a customer actually receives the attached message?  Is DC now in the business of migrating Community members to Partners that pay them for leads and/or advertising?  I know COVID has forced a lot of business to reassess revenue streams, but pairing this strategy with recent changes allowing Partners to sponsor the site seems a far cry for what so many signed up for.  Keep in mind, that "old" strategy is why many us encouraged customers and peers join.  Should we continue to expect members actually pay to be sold, or is this an experiment for the Communities that will end very soon?  I'd like to know before renewing our membership for 2021, and I'd certainly like to have a better understanding before suggesting the same for our clients.

    Hi Brian - thanks so much for pointing this out. I apologize for any confusion and frustration this has caused. This is a new feature that has been added to our Summit website, but the verbiage absolutely needs to be updated. (Request is in.)

    The intent is to provide customers and partners the ability to match with ISV partners and add-on solutions that might bridge a gap within their Microsoft Dynamics solutions. Rest assured we are not in the business of promoting VAR changes between partners. That is not the intent at all and is not what the Community is about.
    We are, however, continuously looking for new ways for our partners to present themselves as thought leaders and experts and promote their brand awareness...especially in the virtual world we are currently living in. (If you have suggestions or ideas on this - I'd love to hear them!) :)

    We appreciate all that you and our partners do for the community and thank you for promoting to your customers and peers.
