Salaried pay rate changes mid payroll period

Is it possible to pay a salaried employee at two different pay rates within the same pay period?  We are on a bi-weekly payroll cycle and rate changes don't always coincide with the pay period begin and end dates.  We usually have to do a separate payroll run after the regular payroll to pay the difference.  The employees don't change departments or positions.
We have looked at the transaction entry screen but it doesn't let us put in a different pay rate.  Is there another place to do this.  I see in the payroll documentation it is possible for hourly, but can't see how to handle mid period salaried payroll rate changes.
    We are on GP2016.

    Thank you,

    Hi Michael,

You are right, it is not that easy for Salary as it would be for hourly. :-)

When you go to key a trx for Salary it will prompt you what do you want to do, you could figure out the "additional amount for this payroll" and put that in, as my example below.  Then it will pay the employee Salary plus this additional amount.

Integrity Data also has an add on that will do this for you if you would rather look at that.
