#Consolidated reports in Management Reporter

We have 7 different companies in GP all with different charts of accounts.
We are in the process of standardizing the charts of accounts so we can report on a consolidated basis more efficiently.
Can someone point me in the right direction on how to create a report in management reporter that grabs majors/minor accounts from more than one company?  Can these be done on the same line in a row or do you need to have a row per company?

    Hi @Lisa Saumure,

You can do a consolidation when the companies have different charts of accounts.

A single row can pull in accounts from different companies (i.e. no need for one row per company). There are a few keys to making this work:
1.) Multiple financial Dimension Link Columns in the row definition - one for each different chart of accounts. If 2 companies share a chart and the 3rd has a unique CoA, then you'll have 2 Financial Dimension Link columns.

2.) The use of Reporting Trees that identify which company(ies) should read from which Financial Dimension Link.

3.) Column Definition Restrictions - this one is technically optional.  You'd only need this if you wanted Company A to have it's own column, Company B its own, etc.

I started to write up some overview notes about how to achieve these, but the link below has already done that so why reinvent the wheel?

Take a look at the link, and if anything doesn't make sense or if you still have questions, please just let me know!
