GP Payroll Processing error "EXCEPTION_CLASS_SCRIPT_OUT_OF_RANGESCRIPT_CMD_MKDATE"

  • 1.  GP Payroll Processing error "EXCEPTION_CLASS_SCRIPT_OUT_OF_RANGESCRIPT_CMD_MKDATE"

We are in the middle of processing our payroll, and we received the following error message:

"Unhandled script exception: Invalid month '0' in date function. Script terminated. EXCEPTION_CLASS_SCRIPT_OUT_OF_RANGESCRIPT_CMD_MKDATE"

This occurred during the Build process, right after the processing automatic overtime.

Can anyone assist on how to fix this issue?

The link below is to a discussion of a similar situation. It may be a regional date setting issue on the workstation/terminal server being used by the end user.

    Hi @Lanisha McLendon,

I have seen this occur when a required date field is not populated. This most commonly occurs when employee data was created through an import process that did not populate the required fields. Oftentimes, you can move the error message window and look at the progress control window and see if you can identify the Employee ID being processed at that point in time. At least then you can investigate that specific employee.

Also, a script log is usually helpful to determine the root cause (if you know how to read them). I'm wondering if this is related to your Comprehensive Leave Manager product. The code for CLM runs just after the automatic overtime calculation in the Build Checks process. If you're able to identify the offending employee, take a look at that employee's leave codes and ensure all required date fields are populated. If this doesn't help, please send an email to our support team (support@integrity-data.com) and we would be happy to help troubleshoot (and at least rule out any Integrity Data product issue).

    All the best!

    Hi @Lanisha McLendon,
I'm in agreement with @Tom Franz, CPP.

This is likely an issue with bad data in an upload, but it says that it sees a zero where it expects a month in a date field.

How is it you are building automatic overtime?

Has anything changed recently in this process for you guys? A new integration, a new file, anything?

No we haven't done anything differently than our normal processing. We do not use Integration Manager to upload our timesheets, we use a script and import the file from Smartconnect. I will look at the upload and see if there are any date issues.  Thank you for your help.

Check any new codes added to employees.  This is typically related to a missing end date possibly on a deduction.
