    Pleased to announce the release of the U.S. Year end update today for all changes Payroll, Payables, FA, etc.

    I cannot stress enough how important this year end will be for all our customers, with the Payables changes and the template issue all fixed, almost everyone will need this update.

    Am I reading this correctly that there is no way to get the year-end update on 2018 R2 and stay on a version that is not on the "modern lifecycle"?

    That is correct, Chris,

    It works the same way it did for the 2019 Year End.  Last year there would have only been patches for GP 2015, GP 2016 and Dynamics GP "modern" (18.2).  The only change is that there's no patch for GP 2015 and only the most current release in the 18.0 branch, 18.3, are getting the release (along with GP 2016).

    There won't be any future releases to what was known as Dynamics GP 2018 as the product has pivoted to the 18.x releases.
