    When attempting to make a change to an existing Tree for a report in Management Reporter I am receiving this error message.
    The given key was not present in the dictionary.

    Current version of MR 2.12.1600.17

    Regards,
    Kevin

    Hi @Kevin Garroway

    Could you be more specific in how you were trying to make the change?

    This is an error normally around buggy issues with exporting and formulas.

    Thank you for getting back to me.

    The error I am getting is when I click on the icon to the right of the tree in the report definition.  It seems to be happening only on one report.  This makes me think it is a corrupted report.  I am able to select the same tree from another report definition and make modifications to the tree.

    Sincerely yours,
    Kevin

    Hi @Kevin Garroway

    You are right, this error happens in various places and it's usually to do with something weird and small at the report header level - for instance there are articles where it was caused by a fourth line in the footer for the report or something weird at the header or footer level - too many lines on those (not really too many, just MR doesn't like it).

    There is also articles on how this was caused by a variable that was not calculating right in a row format of a report.

    Look for those at the report header/footer level - if it's a weird calc in the row or column that might be harder to find.

    @Kevin Garroway,
    One way you could try to resolve the issue is to start from scratch with a new report and see which part of the definitions is causing the problems (columns, rows or tree).. Then re-create the faulty definition by copy / pasting bits by bits from the old one and do save frequently. At some point you may hit the issue and identify the source of the problem.
    Some other options that might help to identify the issue is copying all the defintion's content to Excel.. do it for the Columns & Rows and check for un-usual formulas or strange cell content.
    As @Jo deRuiter said, it might be something that look very legit, but that MR simply doesn't like.
