Does anyone know if there is a way to upload vendor information into GP?  For example, have name, address, etc and upload several at one time instead of entering each vendor separately?

    Hi Peggy,
You can use Integration Manager or SmartConnect if you have these integration tools.

An often overlooked option for the occasional, low volume tasks is simply to use a macro and mail merge. Please note, macros can be "unpredictable" with big volume and you have to ensure the machine running the macro is untouched while it runs, but it is easy to use once it is setup and require no new installs.
To set it up, you can record a macro capturing at least two records so that you have all the commands for doing multiple records. Then you need to open that in word and clean up the macro, removing the second entry but keeping the commands all the way up to the start of the next record. Then you just need to setup a mail merge in word for the field contents from Excel or where ever you data is replacing the text for the fields in the macro with the merge field. When you run the mail merge in word and have all the word pages, just copy the text, paste that back into notepad and save it as a macro file. Then, you just run that file in GP and if it all works well, you can sit back and watch it do the work for you.
Ideally you should first do this in a test company or at least on a very small number of records until you are sure it is working well and then you can go bigger. Once you have it working, you can save that template and use it whenever you need it.
Of course, the integration manager, SmartConnect, Copy/Paste or eConnect routes are all much better for volume and long term stability, but they all come with a cost and more time to get them working.

    Regards,

@Peggy Renfrow  The tools suggested (IM and SC) are great and they give you that added layer of business logic, but if you don't have either of them, GP does offer the Table Import tool.  For smaller sets of specific data, this is an "option".
