Hi Matt,
I've never used Paypal in conjunction with SmartConnect, but have done multiple integrations with SC from Concur, Shopify and ecommerce site.. As long as you can get a consistent CSV or Excel file, it should be relatively easy to create either AP transactions or Invoices in GP.
The tricky part is the grouping of the data in the source file if you work with a single source file (unlike cases where you have a header & detail file separated).
Good luck with your project
PS: using staging tables in GP / SQL can help alleviate some of the limitations and get you a better control on the source data that is processed (i.e. success vs. failed imports).

Subject: Upload of PayPal data using SmartConnect
#Technical #Accounting
As our PayPal transactions continue to grow, we are looking for a way to dump the data from PayPal and upload it into GP 18. We do have SmartConnect. Which I believe will work. But I've been managing restaurants for the last 12 years and am a bit out of touch with using some of the add-ons we have. I would love to hear suggestions, success stories or any general info involving PayPal and GP!
