PM_Transaction_WORK caused a sharing error

    Hello!

I can typically resolve issues like this, but I can't seem to fix this one.  I have a user who while entering a Payables Transaction batch, clicked on the back arrow to get to a previous transaction.  When she does that....she gets the following error message "A save operation on table 'PM_Transaction_WORK' caused a sharing error.

we are on GP 2015 R2.

Any suggestions as to how I can clear this and get her batch posted?

    Thank you
    Rita

    Hello Rita.
@Windi Epperson replied to a similar issue for someone and I have always kept this in my files. I have pasted it below so that you can see these options.
See if one of these remedies will solve your issue.

    Here are Windi's recommendations
"I'm not sure if you've resolved yet, but just a couple of basic starting steps/ideas for you:

    1. Have you tried posting as the 'sa' user?
    2. Have you tried posting from another machine? It's not uncommon for Save Operation errors to be related to network connectivity.
    3. Is this a batch of transactions or just one transaction? If it's a batch, does running an edit list work and/or show any errors/issues?
    4. If it's just one transaction, have you tried saving it to a batch, running a batch edit list and posting at the batch level?
    5. If it's a batch of transactions, then you could possibly pull each transaction up individually in the Transaction Entry window and try posting each separately - this would help identify if it is document specific or if it is the GP process.

Hope these ideas help you turn up the missing issue."

Thank you Steve.  Unfortunately I've tried all that.  It wasn't a huge batch so it just got deleted and the user will re-enter.

    Hi Rita,

I would not use the browse buttons on any GP window, during an insert or change. At the least, click on SAVE and then use the buttons to move to different records. I have seen this as a "feature" before, so I avoid using them unless I am just cycling through records.

I have never seen a "sharing error" in any GP error messages.  It sounds like an environmental/network error external to Great Plains.  Deleting a corrupted transaction is usually sufficient.
