    Hello,
    We just recently upgraded from GP2015 R2 to GP2018 R2 and now when we try to enter an intercompany transaction in AP we can't edit the amount fields.  I did notice that if I expand the fields to view all of the detail, I can enter my amounts in the Originating Debit and Originating Credit fields.  Is that how it is now or is there a way to switch this back?

    This might be a situation where your GP Partner/Microsoft may be the best resource. The originating debit/credit fields are generally used for Multi-Currency, I am not aware of them being used for I/C transactions specifically.

    Melanie,

    The first thing I would try is see if you have the same experience when you try the transaction logged in with the 'sa' account.  It may be a permissions/security issue.  If 'sa' can do it, you need to dig into your security settings.  If 'sa' cannot do it, I would start removing customizations and ISVs (in a test environment) until I find the culprit.

    Are you using the GP intercompany module or an ISV product?  I would also suggest speaking to your partner ASAP.

    Hi all!
    Thank you for your responses to my inquiry.  I did go to my partner and I'm being told that this is the way Intercompany works now and we'd have to do a major customization to move the fields around.  I'm not sure I understand why it was updated this way, it doesn't seem logical.

    W are planning an upgrade form 2015R2 to 2018 R2 next fiscal year. Are there any other issues from the upgrade you experienced we should be aware of?
