Prevent overwrite of AP Control account in Distributions

We are looking for a way to prevent users from changing the default GL account number for the PAY line of the AP Distributions entry. Since the PAY line is the second line, sometimes the users tab through mindlessly and try to put a second PURCH line item on line 2, thereby overwriting the default AP line. If we could move the PAY line to be the first line in the Distribution screen, then the users would probably be able to get used to tabbing past it and then proceeding to enter their PURCH lines in succession, but without that happening, locking down the PAY line would be the next best thing. Or, could we somehow hide the PAY line altogether?

Has anyone ever attempted anything like this? Is it possible? Is it a big customization? Thoughts?

    Thanks in advance!

I have long said that the PAY line should be the first line not the second line.  And there should be an error generated when the TYPE has been changed such that there is no PAY line.

I would be interested in solutions for this as well.

Maybe it's a good time to post a suggestion to Microsoft's dev team on GP to change that default behaviour ?

This should probably go under "Distribution - Other" category.
