Hi Jon,
The screen shot you posted appears to be the contents of a Microsoft DLL, specifically the msvcp90.dll file. I can't imagine how it might have happened, but it seems as if the DLL file was somehow renamed to DYNAMICS.SET and apparently the Dex.ini as well, which is doubly bizarre.
Given how strange that is, if you encounter other issues with that particular GP install or that machine, I would recommend uninstalling and deleting, then reinstalling, rather than trying to figure out what may have happened.
And I'd also recommend an extra virus / malware scan on the machine. That is so strange that I would be wary about what might have caused it.

Subject: DYNAMICS.SET Garbled
Hi, all. I just tried to open the DYNAMICS.SET file on a new install of Dynamics GP 2013 R2 and it's completely garbled. I can't alter the file as needed and I've tried opening it in Notepad & Notepad++ with the same result. Any recommendations to recover this file would be greatly appreciated.
