Good morning!  I created a smartlist that shows as multi-company.  When I run the smartlist, it only shows me the detail of the company I am in.  Do I need to go through smartlist builder and build it through there to get all companies to show?  If so, is there an easy way to use the smartlist I have already created to get me what I need?  Attached is a screen shot of what I'm seeing.  Please let me know.  thanks!

    Torye,

How did you create the SmartList to show as Multi-company?

If you used SmartList Builder and went to the Options window (Options - Summary) to mark the companies as shown below, then it should be pulling multiple companies into the list.

There are a few things to be aware of with the multi-company.   It will always pull data from the company you are logged into first.  Then it will go down the list of other companies that are included.  If it reaches the max record count before it finishes, you may not see all companies.  I know this isn't your issue since you aren't reaching the max records.  The other thing is to create the calculation to create one to show which company the data is coming from which it appears you did if you used SmartList Builder to create the list in the first place.

So, if you used SmartList Builder, just make sure you marked the companies you want in the multi-company options and then it should be pulling all the companies data.  If it isn't, please let us know how the list is built out to make sure it isn't setup with tables incorrectly or something like that.

Good morning Nicole.  I **think** it's showing because in my smartlist builder I have receivables marked as multi-company and it's a receivable report?  Otherwise, I have no idea.  I was super excited because it was easy to do and then it didn't work so I figured I had to go back and build it through the builder.  Let me know.  thanks!

Each list you have in SmartList would need to be setup for multi-company individually.  In the first Word document you sent, it appears you have a list called "RM Appy To" SmartList.  On that list if you open it in SmartList Builder, then go to the Options button, you would need to mark it for multi-company and then mark the companies you want to include in it.  You would then need to do the same for the "Receivables Transactions - Multicompany" list in SmartList Builder.

    Hopefully that helps.
