Time Code

    Hi there

Hoping someone could help me.  We use the HR module to accrue PTO and Longevity Hours.  We noticed recently that the Longevity hours did not shut off like we had planned.  Employees that hit their 15 year anniversary will receive 8 hours of Longevity, every year going forward.  The max they can carryover into the new year is 16 hours.  We've found that some employees have more than 16 hours.

I thought I had it setup correctly, but obviously not.

    Any assistance would be appreciated.
    Thank you

I believe you need to change your Maximum Accrual Hours per Year to 8.00 and Maximum Hours Available, which is currently blank, to 16.00

The employee can only carryover 16 hours into the new calendar year.  However, an employee will earn another 8 hours on their anniversary.  For example, I carried over 16 hours.  I will earn another 8 hours next month, giving me 24 hours.  I will need to use up 8 hours before the end of the year, or lose it.

Thoughts on how we can make this work?

    Appreciate the help!
    Robin

    Hi Robin,
We have two maximums the maximum you can accrue and the maximum that can be available on there card at any time, which right now you have nothing, not sure if you want that filled in.  We do nothing in HR for carry over.  Example if I had accrued up to 20 and at my anniversary you want me to roll that back down to 16 it will not do that
If you set the max available amount to 24, the employee will never be past the 24 amount, but it does not know to roll it down to 16.

What customers may do is run a SmartList and sort it by available amount and anyone that is over, do a trx to reduce them down to 16 if that is really lost time to the employee.

We have some nice FREE HR SmartList in this blog document
