Voided RCT Not Visible in POP Returns

    Hello,

We have situation where an invoice for a receiving was voided through AP as a means to clear the invoice from the vendor record, which, obviously, left the quantity received still in inventory. I'm trying to do a return through POP on that receipt in order to correct the inventory. After entering the correct PO and item number, I try to pull up the associated receipt but no document is visible. GP acts as if the receiving was voided, too, despite there being no inventory adjustment made.

Is the simple solution to just do an inventory adjustment? Or should I be able to do a return on the original receipt?

    Thanks for the help!

Yes, you do an inventory adjustment now. Make sure the debit goes to RNI as when you voided the AP invoice it should have credited RNI and debited AP.
Next time you could do a POP Return with Credit Memo type  and then you would have managed the inventory and created an AP credit memo (to apply to the invoice) all in the Return transaction.
But since you did the AP void, now you need to clean up the inventory. Just make sure you clear the correct account - probably RNI.

I assumed that that was the only option, so we went through the process you describe, yesterday, and it appears to have worked just fine. Thank you for confirming my suspicions.
