Update Select statement in ADH00100 for SmartList?

Has anyone had success updating the ViewScript field in the ADH00100 table? I've written a pretty lengthy CTE statement and the users would like the data in SmartList. I'm wondering if this is a possibility, or if I will need to just add an SSRS report instead.

I don't know that updating the view script in the ADH00100 table would be your bets option as that is generally the script generated by SmartList Designer.  You would want to edit the SmartList in SmartList Designer instead of just editing the view script.  This way the setup gets updated with the changes.

If you want to create a new list with the statement you have, you could create a SQL view and then add that to a new SmartList Designer setup using the Views option for your table.

If you are using SmartList Builder instead of SmartList Designer now, you could add the SQL Script as a View or using the SQL Script table type to get it to a new list as well.

    Hope that helps!

@Nicole Albertson I ended up creating a SQL View and using Smartlist Designer from that. Thank you!
